I grew up in Nuʻuanu Valley and would spend many summer days playing in the Nuʻuanu Stream and the waterfalls along the Judd Trail. The stream and bamboo forest always seemed like such a magical place. The way the sunlight would cast the slightest rays of light through the canopy is beautiful.
Kristine and Bruce were visiting from Chicago and excited to celebrate their engagement with a fun photo shoot in Hawaiʻi. I was equally excited because they were looking for “somewhere non-beach”. So we ventured up to the mountains and walked through the cool of the Nuʻuanu Stream. The early morning light was perfect and we had a lot of fun traipsing through the bamboo forest.
