On a cool winter afternoon in Hawaiʻi, Penn and Ryan decided to take a walk in the park for a fun engagement photo session. Kakaʻako Waterfront Park is a great location with rolling green hills and a beautiful promenade right on the waterfront.Read More
It’s that time of the year. Time for family Christmas photos. With an abundance of beaches and tropical settings for photos, we wanted to get away from the Hawaiian norm and have these photos taken in a more woodland setting. After a quick drive up the mountains, we set up in a forest of Cook Pine Trees for these Christmas photos.Read More
At first they were a bit worried about the prospect of having family photos taken, mainly due to the challenges they have faced in the past with their autistic son. All she asked was for "one good family picture".Read More
As a photographer, I have had the opportunity to experience many firsts. An Annaprasana Ceremony is definitely one of those experiences that I probably would not have had been invited to if I weren't a photographer.Read More
Sayeeda planned her family vacation in Hawaiʻi while her husband was here in Honolulu for work. What better way to remember every moment than through family portraits and family vacation photography.Read More
Ala Moana Beach Park, Honolulu
Shehla and Sohail were in Hawaiʻi on their one year anniversary and were looking for something special to remember their time in paradise.
Sunset photos on the beach.
They were looking for something a little more intimate and romantic, and as luck would have it the beach was empty. Only a couple fishermen along the seawall and another couple on one end taking photos. The rain earlier in the day had chased away the crowds and the cloudy sky left over from the storm earlier painted the sky with the most gorgeous sunset I have seen. We just took advantage of the moment and snapped some beautiful photos of this stunning couple. I don't think I have ever had such an amazing opportunity at one of Oʻahu's busiest beaches.

First time visiting Hawaiʻi? What better way to remember such an amazing vacation than a fun photo session on the beach.
Karin reached out a couple months ago to set up a time for photos with her husband, and I was excited to recommend a few great ideas for their photo session. Karin and her husband Nathan were so cute together. They are the type of couple that naturally has fun together and truly love each other - which makes my job easy. Just see for yourself
Being married myself for a little over six years, it was very encouraging to see such a happy couple celebrating their 50 years of being together. And what was better than that was to see all of the amazing friends and family joining in on the celebration.Read More
I had the opportunity to meet up with this beautiful couple while they were on their baby moon vacation here in Hawaiʻi. We definitely wanted to take advantage of their trip to Hawaiʻi and capture some great photos of the two of them, especially her growing baby bump. The evening was gorgeous and created a beautiful backdrop for amazing photos of this couple.Read More
Star Wars Themed Garden Wedding
This might have been the first time I've ever applied a "light-saber" effect to a photo. I'm not going to lie - it was pretty fun. I wouldn't consider myself to be the biggest Star Wars fan, but given a chance to be a part of a Star Wars themed wedding was kind of exciting. The slight Star Wars details made this the perfect garden wedding between Cheryl and Kip.

Sunset at Waikīkī
And now for the big day. Walking through this season with this beautiful couple was such a special experience. Being there for them during their engagement. Retelling their love story. And now capturing their nuptials.
Congratulations Loriann and Shannon!

Cruising in Kewalo
We spent an afternoon last month with couple Loriann Yukihiro and Shannon Silva down at Kewalo. Two surfers who met in the waves, cruising down at one of their favorite surf spots. And although the waves were big and the conditions were great, they ended up staying dry with me and the camera.

Oʻahu's Hidden Secret
I think that I have driven by and visited Puʻu Ualakaʻa State Park (Tantalus) many times and I have to be honest - I have overlooked this little spot and haven't even given it a second thought.
Michelle and Charles decided to get married at Tantalus, but their choice of location for the ceremony was not the typical spot at the lookout. There is a small out-cropping of pine trees on your way up the road that hosted this quaint, yet very beautiful ceremony.
Breathtaking Sunset Views
I think the best part of their location was that it is located next to the (also hidden) Nutridge Estate. During our wrap-up of their formal shots, the care-taker offered his estate and breathtaking sunset view of Downtown Honolulu. Naturally I was excited to take advantage of the beautiful, albeit quickly fading, sunset.
Next time you drive through Tantalus, stop in at the Nutridge Estate and check out this little hidden gem.
